FARGO - The public has an opportunity to provide input that will help select the North Dakota State University Extension Service's next beef cattle specialist.
Four candidates each will make a presentation on developing Extension and research programs to meet the needs and future challenges of North Dakota's beef industry. The presentations will be broadcast from the NDSU campus through the North Dakota Interactive Video Network at several sites throughout the state.
The presentations, which are part of the candidates' interview process, will run 35 to 40 minutes. About 30 to 40 minutes of discussion, questions and interaction will follow the presentations.
"We encourage North Dakotans, especially those interested in beef cattle production, to view the seminars and participate in the question-and-answer session after the presentations," says Greg Lardy, head of NDSU's Animal Sciences Department. "This position plays a very important role in the Animal Sciences Department and we want to hire the best person for this job."
