FARGO - The owner of Asian & American Market is planning to build a new store just a few blocks west of its current location on the southwest edge of downtown.
A permit application has been filed with the city for a $1.8 million grocery store, parking lot and loading area at 1425 Main Ave. The single-story building would be 19,500 square feet.
A plan review fee payment was also made May 10.
Three city departments have signed off on the permit, with two others pending approval and two others, inspections and engineering, calling for revisions to the plan.
A second permit application was filed Tuesday, May 18, for demolition of buildings at 1425 Main.
