BISMARCK -- The Bureau of Land Management says almost $139 million was collected in royalties on federal land in North Dakota in fiscal 2012.

The agency says the royalties are from the production of oil, gas, coal and natural gas liquids.

BLM says more than $257.4 million was collected and distributed from royalties collected from energy development on American Indian land in North Dakota in fiscal 2012.

The agency says more than $801 million in royalties have been paid to mineral owners in Indian Country since 2009.
