FARGO-Prairie Public Broadcasting has selected Kayla Delzer, a teacher at Mapleton (N.D.) Elementary School, for its PBS Digital Innovator All-Star Program.

As part of the honor, Delzer will spend the 2018-2019 school year deepening engagement among students, families, educators and schools in partnership with Prairie Public.

That will involve supporting learning through media literacy skills, according to Tim Wollenzien, manager of Prairie Public's education services department.

"Kayla will have access to virtual and in-person events, including the PBS Digital Innovator All-Star Summit, to connect and learn with her peers and public television station representatives from across the country," Wollenzien said.

Delzer has 10 years of teaching experience and earned a master's degree in elementary education from the University of North Dakota.
