PEPP to honor new park cooperative

The People Escaping Poverty Project, Moorhead, will honor the newly formed Bennett Park Cooperative in Moorhead with the Caryl Penner Social Justice Award.

The People Escaping Poverty Project, Moorhead, will honor the newly formed Bennett Park Cooperative in Moorhead with the Caryl Penner Social Justice Award.

The award will be presented during the Power of PEPP celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. today at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 406 8th St. S., Moorhead.

The cooperative recently won the right to purchase the Greenwood Mobile Home Park in Moorhead, and its goals are to improve the park, be good stewards of the land and offer affordable homeownership opportunities in Moorhead.

The event is free and open to the public.
