WASHINGTON - U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson, D-Minn., will receive the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Spirit of Enterprise Award” in a virtual presentation on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Peterson, who represents Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District, is a repeat winner of the award and one of 259 members of Congress who will receive the 2020 honor.
The award is being given to senators and representatives who supported pro-growth policies and showed bipartisan leadership in 2019, the U.S. Chamber said on its website.

“As we rebuild our economy, legislators must lead by pursuing bipartisan solutions that create jobs and promote a free enterprise system,” said Tom Donohue, CEO of the U.S. Chamber, in a statement on the website.
Earlier this year, Peterson was among House members to be awarded the Jefferson–Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship. Dean Phillips, a Democrat representing Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District, received the same honor in the June 9 ceremony.
