The Minnesota State Community and Technical College Foundation has received a $76,000 grant from the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council to address the work-force training needs in alternative energy technology areas through the development of an Alternative and Renewable Energy Outreach Program.
The program will address work-force needs in the alternative energy industry in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota by establishing an education and training program designed to deliver alternative and renewable energy based, hands-on STEM educational programs to students in eighth through 12th grades.
