FARGO — A new Marco's Pizza location opened Monday, April 15, at 2653 45th Street S. The restaurant shares the space formerly occupied by Reese & Riley's with a new Wingstop restaurant.

LaToya Stephens manages both restaurants owned and operated by Anderson Franchise Investments. In an interview last month, Stephens said she was excited for Marco's to open because "it never hurts to have a pizza place right next to a wing place. ... You get the best of both worlds."

The new restaurant offers carryout, delivery, dine-in and online ordering options.

The metro area is also home to Marco's Pizza locations at 2502 University Drive in Fargo and 675 13th Ave. E. in West Fargo.

According to a press release from Marco's Franchising, Marco's Pizza is the only national pizza chain founded by a native Italian. Pasquale "Pat" Giammarco grew up making pizzas with is father after they immigrated to the U.S. from Sulmona, Italy. Years later, he established Marco's Pizza with the goal of producing "fresh, authentic, handmade Italian quality pizza."

Averaging at least one store opening every third day, Marco’s Pizza has more than 900 stores today and aims to reach over 1,000 locations in 2019.
