FARGO — Friday, June 21, will be the last day customers can grab a cup of coffee at Stumbeano's Coffee Bar in downtown Fargo.
Stumbeano's first opened in the Loretta Building at 210 Broadway in September of 2014. Owner Greg Stumbo confirmed this week that he plans to close the coffee bar at the end of business Friday. He will re-open later this year in the newly-remodeled Fargo Brewing Co. at 610 N. University Drive.
In March, Jade Nielsen, a developer and partner in Fargo Brewing, announced plans to add a food truck/kitchen area, Stumbeano's Coffee Bar and tattoo and barber shops to the brewery and taphouse in order to make it an entertainment destination.
At the time, Stumbo said his lease would soon be up and that he was excited to build on his relationship with Fargo Brewing Co.
"I think it's just a unique concept that I've seen in other communities," including Austin, Texas, and Portland, Ore., he said. "It's a unique partnership. It was kind of a neat opportunity."
Stumbo said he doesn't anticipate any drastic changes to his business hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. once he opens at Fargo Brewing Co. He's not yet sure about regular evening hours, but said he does anticipate being open during concerts and other special events.
