FARGO — Bully Brew Coffee House on the south side of the North Dakota State University campus is preparing for the next migration of Bison.

The coffee shop has done well since it opened in April in the Bison Block, 1414 12th Ave. N., Manager Kassie Stenstrom said.

“It’s been great, especially with students during the school year,” Stenstrom said Thursday, Aug. 1.

Now she’s looking forward to classes starting.

“We have only two weeks!” Stenstrom said. “We’re definitely excited for the school year.”

The shop seats 25 to 30 indoors and has a small patio on the 12th Avenue entrance. It carries baked goods and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. All of the coffee beans are roasted in Grand Forks, she said.

Bully Brew also serves cold brew coffee and has several decaffeinated options, including teas, blended drinks and hot chocolate.

A second Bully Brew in Fargo is at 4150 40th Ave. S.

Bully Brew was started in Grand Forks by Sandi Luck. There are three Grand Forks shops, one in East Grand Forks, a roastery and a bakery, according to the company’s website.

Bully Brew is still on summer hours: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

With school in session, hours expand to 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Stenstrom said.

Bully Brew occupies a space that once held a Starbucks, which closed at the end of 2018.
