MOORHEAD — There’s good news for java junkies who’ve been getting the jitters without their regular cup of caffeine: Renovations at the southside Starbucks are nearing completion, with the drive-thru window already operating with limited hours.
Normal operations for the popular coffee shop at 906 Holiday Drive could return Tuesday, Aug. 6, Manager Sarah Christl said Friday, Aug. 2.
The drive-thru recently began serving again from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Christl said.

Normal hours for the coffee shop are 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“Hopefully, Tuesday we’ll be open our normal hours,” Christl said.
That will depend on whether needed construction materials arrive in good order.
“We want to be sure the lobby is completely ready before we open it,” Christl said.
Christl said the shop, which had been open about 11 years, was looking a bit tired and the decor needed to be refreshed.
In addition, a more efficient espresso machine and a nitro cold press coffee system were installed.
“I love the cosmetics and I love how it’s going to be, but honestly, I love the new espresso,” Christl said as workers put the finishing touches on the shop’s main entrance.
The Holiday Drive Starbucks closed at the end of business July 21. Since then, crews have raced to get the makeover done in two weeks.
Christl says the patience of the shop’s longtime customers is appreciated.
“I think they’re going to love the new look,” she said. “We’re excited to be back open.”
