FARGO-The Crooked Pint Ale House opened Tuesday, March 6, in south Fargo.
The pub-style restaurant is located in the former home of the Green Mill.
Susie Kunert, who was the general manager of the Green Mill and is now the general manager of the Crooked Pint, said the new business has a new look and feel, with a focus on beers and craft brews in particular.
In all, 32 beers are on tap.
"I can't wait to see what today brings," Kunert said as the business prepared to open its doors to the public for the first time at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The Crooked Pint and Green Mill brands both operate under a company called High Top Hospitality, which has its headquarters in St. Paul.
The first Crooked Pint opened in 2011 in Minneapolis, according to Tim Kreiser, High Top Hospitality's vice president for operations, who has been in Fargo the past few weeks helping train staff for Fargo's new Crooked Pint.
Crooked Pints recently opened in Grand Forks and Sioux Falls, S.D. According to Kreiser, both stores are doing "fantastic."
The menu is class pub fare, including a popular line of burgers dubbed Juicy Lucys.
Other offerings include tacos-including shrimp and asian pork tacos-and pot pies and hot dishes.
The list of sandwiches includes pot roast and walleye sandwiches as well as grilled Cubano hoagie sandwiches and Mediterranean veggie wraps.
Weekday lunch specials are also offered, with the specials ranging in price from about $7.99 to $9.99.
The Crooked Pint is located at 3340 13th Ave. S., in Fargo.
The phone number is (701) 298-8000.
