FARGO - MVP Pizza at 3132 Broadway Drive has closed and the business is up for sale.
General Manager Joey Waz confirmed Wednesday, Feb. 26, that the north Fargo pizzeria had closed. A check with the local Multiple Listing Service found that the property has been listed about a month with an asking price of $100,000.
MVP Pizza had opened in the former Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream Parlor building on Jan. 21, 2019. In fact, the Happy Joe’s signs remain on the building, with only one partially covered by an MVP Pizza banner.
When it opened, Waz was confident that people would enjoy his Chicago-style pizzas. He added that the north Fargo shop was but the first planned for the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area, and that three other locations were being considered.

The Happy Joe’s at that spot had closed in spring 2017. The owner said he closed it due to difficulties finding enough workers to staff the business. The restaurant had been open in that spot for 37 years as of that time.
