FARGO - Viet Palace, a south Fargo Vietnamese restaurant known for fresh food and tasty pho, has closed.
The restaurant’s management made the announcement in a brief Facebook posting on Tuesday, May 19.
“To Our Loyal Patrons, we regret to inform you that we have permanently closed. We thank you for your patronage through all the years,” the post said.
Viet Palace opened at 1620 32nd Ave. S in the second half of 2013 in a space formerly occupied by Grand Buffet.
The restaurant was owned and operated by Tommy Nguyen and Brenda Phung.
The restaurant’s food was lauded in November 2013 by Forum food critic Eric Daeuber for its fresh, flavorful taste. The large menu and fast, friendly service also earned kudos.
“This is ethnic food for any taste. There are both mild and adventurous dishes,” Daeuber wrote.
