FARGO - The Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant of America in south Fargo will be closing this Friday, Nov. 26, just after Thanksgiving.
A sign on the door of the restaurant at 2581 45th St. S.W. said that a reopening date has not been set.
“Sadly, we will be temporarily closing our doors as of 11/26/21. The owners came to this hard decision over the last few months and unfortunately at this time we do not have a re-open date,” the undated sign said.
The doors were closed and locked when The Forum stopped by to try and contact a manager on Monday night, Nov. 22.

“Our hours going forward will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Starting 11/17/21 we will also be moving to take-out only until our last day on 11/26/21,” the sign said. “We will be running special deals all week and a large final sale of products on Black Friday while supplies last and all sales on the 26th will be final.”
No reason for the closure was given on the sign on the door or on the company’s web site.
