Fargo-based Unglued to close its Sioux Falls store

SIOUX FALLS—A craft and gift shop here that was started as a second location of a Fargo-based business will close its doors for good next month.

Unglued announced Monday, Dec. 11, on its Instagram page that its Sioux Falls store, 218 S. Phillips Ave., will have its last retail day Jan. 10. A community craft party will be held Jan. 13 to celebrate its two-and-a-half years in business.

While the post said the past years have been "absolutely incredible," owners of the business said they also learned their consignment model, sales and profit margins weren't enough to keep a second location open in Sioux Falls.

"Despite making a variety of changes for 2 years, we haven't been able to turn it around," the post said. "Now that our existing lease is coming to a close we needed to decide how to proceed."

Unglued will continue its other efforts, including its downtown Fargo store, 408 Broadway N., as well as its annual craft fest in February and an Unglued adult summer camp in Minnesota.
