FARGO - Two West Acres mall stores are expanding their footprints.
Bath & Body Works is relocating this fall to where Legacy Toys is now located, Alissa Adams, chief operating officer of West Acres Development confirmed Tuesday, June 15.
In addition, JWW Sports Cards and Gaming will expand its lower level retail and events spaces to become five times its current size.
“Bath & Body Works has a strong customer base and a long history of success within West Acres. The expansion has been in the works for some time, but it was a matter of finding the right space,” Adams said.
Bath & Body Works will relocate next to Victoria’s Secret. It will include a White Barn candle shop. The store will be 5,284 square feet, nearly 1,500 square feet larger than the current store on the west side of the mall, according to Adams and Fargo city permitting records. Cost of the renovation is estimated at $275,000, city records show.
In April, it was announced that Legacy Toys and Legacy Sweets would be combined into a 7,748-square-foot location in the former Gap space. When it opens, it will be the Ely, Minn.-based chain’s largest store.
Among the amenities in the new Legacy Toys and Legacy Sweets will be an interactive ball wall, a giant interactive Lite Brite wall, a 10-foot candy cart and a Legacy Littles Neighborhood featuring baby and toddler toys.

In the lower level of the mall, JWW Sports Cards and Gaming will expand into spaces down the hall from where it is located. To accommodate the JWW expansion, EZ Alterations will move sometime in the next few weeks to what is now part of West Acres’ Community Room.
Adams noted that Ginza Ramen and Poke will open officially later this week in West Acres’ food court. The new eatery will open in the former Ice Point location.
