FARGO - Rhombus Guys Pizza has added a long-awaited ingredient to the drinking and dining experience at its downtown Fargo location - clouds.
Clouds and whatever else may be viewable from atop the restaurant's roof, where a new eating and drinking space opened for the first time Tuesday morning.
The rooftop feature had been promoted via social media for months, but the actual opening was intentionally low-key to keep things manageable, according to Ian Dickmeyer, general manager.
"We didn't want to have so many people we couldn't keep the service up," he said.
Even so, the space, which accommodates about 90 people, was almost full at one point Tuesday evening, Dickmeyer said.

Weather allowing, he said the rooftop will be open to the public starting at about 11 a.m. and will remain open until midnight and perhaps beyond, depending on volume of traffic.
Dickmeyer said the remodeling required an investment, but it was deemed worth it based on the success of rooftop business at the Rhombus location in Grand Forks.
"We feel it's definitely something Fargo wanted and is excited about, and we're confident it will pay off in the long run," he said.
The Fargo Rhombus Guys restaurant and bar opened in August 2011.
