Scherling Photography celebrates 100 years

Media - Fargo Family business turns 100

FARGO — A Fargo business celebrated its 100th year Tuesday night.

Started by A.R. Scherling in 1919, the business has been passed down three generations to current owners Patrick and Larry Scherling.

They were joined by friends, employees, and their family, who were back at the photo lab together for the first time since 2011.

"We've looked a lot of pictures and a lot of things, thinking about my dad and grandfather. We worked alongside my dad for 20 years. Great memory to look back on because you spent so many days with your dad," said Patrick Scherling, co-owner of Scherling Photography.

The Scherlings say the best part of the build-up is having their family back together to celebrate.
