How much does customer loyalty count toward your win?
"We are a retail shop, but also a family and a community," said Paradox Comics-N-Cards owner Richard Early. "We've got so many friends and family members who have made Paradox their home for almost 25 years. The nerd community of the area is a truly special group of people."
What impact have live events had on your business?
"From day one, events were the very heart of our shop," Early said. "Opening in 1993, our first game table was a kitchen table donated by a customer. Then, we expanded into an event center for comic conventions, board game nights, charity marathons, Free Comic Book day, kids costume contests, and so much more."
Are there any big comic or gaming trends that we should know about?
"In so many ways, there's never been a better time to run a comic and game shop," Early continues. "We are at the forefront of a culture which is now mainstream, and it's a joyous thing to watch. It's also more challenging than ever, but at Paradox we've built a great reputation and a network that goes way beyond the interaction at the front counter."
