WEST FARGO - No ifs, ands or bundts about it, it’s going to be busy over at Nothing Bundt Cakes on Friday, Nov. 15.
That’s because it’s National Bundt Day.
In honor of the distinctive doughnut-shaped wheels of baked bliss, the store at 816 24th Ave. E. is joining the other 300-plus Nothing Bundt Cakes franchises around the country in holding an hourlong giveaway of the popular palm-sized bundtlets.
From 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., the bakery will hand out free confetti bundtlets - one per guest - while supplies last.
In addition, the first 22 guests in line (1 guest per household), will be given a card that can be redeemed for one free bundtlet a month for a year.
Rinda Norberg, who owns the bakery along with her husband, Jon, and Jenna and Pete Larson, said there will be a bakeathon leading up to the bundtastic bash.

“We’re all pumped up for it. We are getting our employees excited about it,” Norberg said Thursday, Nov. 7.
She’s not sure what to expect for a cake-craving crowd, though.
One 10-day forecast pegged Friday to be sunny with a high in the low 30s, much different than the 70-degree temps crowds enjoyed when the shop opened May 14.
“When we opened, we had a line around the building, but the weather is much colder now. We’ll just see,” she said. “I think it will be pretty smooth. We have great employees and we’re just hoping we get everyone in and out pretty quickly.”
Business has been good, but Norberg said she wouldn’t mind if the event adds some bundt buzz for the holiday season.
“We’re still trying to get our brand recognition and hoping for some new customers,” she said.
The bakery offers 8- and 10-inch bundt cakes, tiered bundt cakes, miniature bundtlets and bite-sized “bundtinis" in 10 different flavors.
