FARGO — After 1 Million Cups ended a more than six-year run connecting entrepreneurs in the Fargo-Moorhead area, Emerging Prairie has announced its replacement.
StartupBREW Fargo will launch Wednesday, April 28, in Island Park in downtown Fargo as a new event "for entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives and community members alike to come together and explore the entrepreneurial journey," a news release from Emerging Prairie stated.
The weekly event is "built on the notion that entrepreneurs do better when they have access to each other and the greater community that supports them," the release continued.
StarupBREW will meet every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and events will emphasize connection by cutting down on individual speaking time and increasing conversation, Emerging Prairie said.
"In 2020 alone, we were able to serve 3,734 attendees and 60 entrepreneurs on the 1 Million Cups Fargo platform, and for that, we are so grateful," Emma McIntyre, the lead organizer for StartupBREW said. "We believe this restructure to StartupBREW Fargo will give us the opportunity to continue this growth and better serve our community."
The first meeting will start with a coffee club at 8 a.m. with the event following a half-hour later at the Scherling Tennis Court Complex.
