FARGO-A south Fargo Mexican restaurant has closed for a second time since opening last fall, but this time, there doesn't seem to be any plans to reopen.
Perla's Fresh Mexican, 2653 45th St. S., was closed over the weekend. Two notes were seen on the door Tuesday, March 28, with one simply telling customers, "Sorry, but we are closed," and the other listing a name and number for vendors to contact to pick up their items.
Several phone messages and Facebook messages seeking comment from the restaurant and its owners, Charles and Nikki Anderson, weren't returned Tuesday, March 28.
Perla's first opened Oct. 24, but closed just a week later after the general manager quit. After revamping the menu and retraining staff, the restaurant reopened in November with a new manager.
The restaurant was a replacement itself, taking over the building where the Andersons previously opened Peoples Organic Cafe in March 2014 before it closed Sept. 30.
