FARGO - Think of it as TEDx Got Talent.
Emerging Prairie is holding two Open Mic events and taking video submissions online to find speakers and performers to share their ideas and talents at this year’s TEDxFargo.
For people who have giving a TED talk on their bucket list, this is your chance to find out if your message can stand with those of other thought leaders, innovators and risk takers.
The Open Mic events are both in Fargo. The first is 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at The Prairie Den, 122½ Broadway, with the second running noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the West Acres Shopping Center, 3902 13th Ave. S.
Those auditioning will have to make their presentations short and sweet:

- Each person gets 90 seconds to share a preview of their idea or performance.
- No slides or videos may be used.
- Simple props are allowed.
- Only one idea may be pitched.
- Pre-registered participants have first priority.
- Walk-ins will be allowed if space and time are available.
Those interested in doing a talk or performing who can’t be at the Open Mic events can submit a video online.
Also, you can nominate someone you believe is a dynamic speaker or performer.
Speakers are those with well-formed ideas, demonstrations, or discoveries to share with an audience
Performances are individuals or groups who share their talents or vision through music, puppetry, dance, poetry, or other forms of artistic expression
