MOORHEAD, Minn. — Two engineers in Moorhead are being nationally recognized by the Small Business Association. Sean Richards and Joe Lyons were named 2020 Minnesota Veteran's Business Champions on Wednesday at the Hjemkomst Center. This is recognizing their work to grow a veteran-owned small business, Alloy Engineering.
The two help work on sugar beet processing for for American Crystal Sugar. Principal Engineer Keith Homstad nominated the pair. He said both winners show dedication to growing their company.
"They've just been great to work with," Homstad said. "Trying to get a business started and off the ground is hard enough, let alone trying to search out the work and try to find and build relationships with companies."
SBA leaders are traveling around the country to honor veteran-owned small businesses.
