FARGO - The United Way of Cass Clay announced Wednesday it has raised $3.5 million so far in its 2014 campaign, nearly two-thirds of its goal.
This year’s campaign goal of $5.5 million is a 6 percent increase over last year’s goal of $5.2 million. Last year, the organization raised $5,353,617.
Money raised will be used in the areas of education, income stability, health and basic needs.
The campaign kicked off in September and continues through the end of January. This year’s campaign chairman is Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney.
