NEW YORK - West Fargo-based Intelligent InSites has agreed to be acquired by business software firm Infor.
Infor, a multinational firm that provides cloud-based business software for a wide range of industries, made the announcement Monday, Jan. 13.
Infor said the acquisition would allow it to offer expanded software options for health care organizations.
Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed, Infor said in a news release.
Intelligent InSites offers health care software and services that use real time location system software and other technologies (RFID, temperature sensors, computerized maintenance management systems, electronic health records, financial systems, building systems, nurse call systems, and medical devices) to help companies manage data and operate more efficiently and safely.

“This acquisition is a great fit for Infor given its focus on IoT (Internet of Things) and clinically-connected capabilities for health care without being tied to a specific RTLS hardware technology,” said Infor CEO Kevin Samuelson.
Infor expects to help health care organizations reduce patient wait time, eliminate unnecessary equipment rentals, monitor key clinical environments, and ensure safety through staff backup.
Infor’s customers include 18 of the top 25 healthcare delivery networks, and its products are in use at nearly 3,000 healthcare locations worldwide.
Infor has 17,300 employees and over 68,000 customers in more than 170 countries.
