FARGO - A large structure going up at 35th Avenue South and University Drive in Fargo will be part of what will become Eagles Elementary School.
The new space is being built as an addition to a structure that was once home to the Fargo Eagles Club and which for many years has been used by the Fargo School District as a learning center.
When Eagles Elementary opens in fall 2016, it will house grades K-5.
The addition being built will have 41,000 square feet of space and provide room for 11 classrooms, a new gymnasium, administrative office space, and a new commons and kitchen.
The cost of the new addition, remodeling of the existing learning center and things like new furnishings and equipment will total about $9.3 million.
