UNITED WAY OF CASS-CLAY

Several awards were handed out Thursday, March 31, at the Armory Events Center in Moorhead as the United Way of Cass Clay celebrated a record-setting year.
The goal of the United Way of Cass-Clay 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program is to inspire local women from all backgrounds to make a difference, help them realize their leadership skills and energize their collective power as women in our community.
Both school districts announced that they will expand services offered by Nexus Path Family Healing.
Isley comes from Noridian Healthcare Solutions where she has worked in various leadership positions.

As we look ahead to the holiday season and colder winter months, the needs of our community are great as many families and children are at risk of being hungry and experiencing homelessness. Partnership is key in supporting the families and children in need in our local community. It is estimated that on any given night in our community, 1,022 local people are homeless and of those who are homeless, 23% are children.
Tomorrow is United Way's 'Live United, Give United' day and they are hoping to raise upwards of $60,000 dollars.

The annual chili feed, traditionally held at the Roers shop, last year saw approximately 900 people attend, raising nearly $70,000 for United Way. Over the past ten years, according to press notes, nearly $285,000 has been raised, and more than 12,500 cups of chili have been served.
The focus of the 2020 campaign is area homelessness, which several speakers highlighted at the hybrid in-person and virtual kick off event, live-streamed from the Avalon Events Center, 2525 9th Ave. S.
The annual “Gobble It Up for United Way” lunch will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9. A Unite Way of Cass-Clay virtual kickoff is also scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2.
