Caring for Carissa: Benefit to be held July 23

A benefit to help Carissa Sjolie will be held on Friday, July 23rd from 4pm to 10pm at West Fargo VFW. On April 7th, Carissa Sjolie was diagnosed with terminal cancer that started as melanoma and metastasized throughout her entire body.

WEST FARGO —A benefit to help Carissa Sjolie will be held from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday, July 23 at the West Fargo VFW.

Sjolie was diagnosed with terminal cancer that started as melanoma and metastasized throughout her entire body. A younger mother of four, Sjolie and her husband, Chuck Ryan live in West Fargo.

Sjolie has been a devoted stay-at-home mom of sons Emery, 9, Calvin, 2, Miles, 10 months, and a daughter Helena, 5.

A walking taco free will donation feed will run from 4 to 6 p.m.. There will also be a silent auction and raffles through out the event.

The Lend A Hand Up program is providing $5,000 of boost funding to uplift generosity.
