FARGO — North Dakota State runners Cody Roder and Jacob Levin both posted all-time top 10 performances in the 300-meter dash on Friday at the Bison Open.
Roder, a senior from Bemidji, won the event in 34.22 seconds, a time that ranks No. 3 in NDSU history. Levin, a sophomore from West Fargo, finished runnerup in 34.85, which is No. 9 all-time.
Bison senior Tony Ukkelberg is second after the first day of the Open's heptathlon with 3,113 points through four events. Junior teammate Eric VanErp is third with 2,951 points. Ukkelberg had top performances in the long jump (22 feet, 10.5 inches) and shot put (47-10.75.
The Bison play host to the Dakota Quad — which includes South Dakota, South Dakota State and North Dakota — with field events beginning at noon.
