MOORHEAD — The Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership announced Monday, May 3, that after 25 years of housing the Rainbow Bridge Parenting Time Center in Moorhead the safe exchange program will be acquired by the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead.
Rainbow Bridge provides a safe environment for the physical transfer of children as well as safe visitation with children.
The acquisition will take place in January 2022.
The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center will add Rainbow Bridge to its growing list of services and the program will continue to operate out of the Clay County Family Service Center in Moorhead.
All current services of Rainbow Bridge will remain in place and current staff will continue working with the program under the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center.
"Nationally, domestic violence agencies typically house supervised visit and safe exchange services, so this is a natural fit for our agency," said Dr. Christopher Johnson, CEO of the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center.
"We are excited to welcome the clients and staff of Rainbow Bridge under the RACC umbrella and continue to learn and grow the services together," Johnson added.
