FARGO — After a strong response from the community, the American Legion Bike Shop is no longer seeking donations of bicycles to refurbish for the time being.
The bike shop received numerous newer bicycles in excellent condition, however it also received irreparable rusty bicycles as well.
For now, the bike shop has an ample supply of acceptable bicycles for veterans to refurbish. The American Legion Post 2 volunteers stated that they are grateful for the public's response.
In the future, the American Legion Bike Shop will accept donations of one or two-year-old mountain bikes from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesdays at its 1202 32nd Ave. N., location in Fargo.
