Despite the changes required to keep their staff and visitors safe and reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus, Bonanzaville Executive Director Beth Jansen says the exhibits and grounds actually improved and increased community engagement this year.
"Visitors of all ages find an exhibit they can personally connect with," she says. "Young children love the historic buildings while older adults find items reminding them of days gone by."
With 36 historic buildings, special interest exhibits, or the Main Museum, Jansen says every person finds something to love.

"Here at Bonanzaville, we have taken all recommended precautions to limit the spread of covid including additional cleaning, limited capacity at events, social distancing, protective barriers and eliminating hands-on activities," Jansen says.
During the winter, Jansen highlights their Main Exhibit Area will remain open and free to the public on weekends to help locals to become familiar with area history in a trusted space.
"With 12 acres of outside activity and small group events, Bonanzaville is the perfect place to get out into the community while staying safe," she says.
