Broadside poems will be featured in MSUM reading
MOORHEAD — A reading of broadside poems will be held 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Minnesota State University Moorhead's Livingston Lord Library porch.
The reading is part of the Thomas McGrath Visiting Writer Series Reading Program. It's free and open to the public.
A broadside is a sheet of paper with a printed message on the front side. Its origins may go back to the military and politics, but the broadside is almost always a poem, often signed by the poet.
The Tom McGrath Visiting Writers Series brings contemporary writers to the campus and is supported by a generous grant from the Solomon Comstock Minneapolis Foundation.
