FARGO - United Way of Cass-Clay will host its 2018 Kick Off Event at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Avalon Events Center, 2525 9th Ave. S. At the event, the organization will announce its annual fundraising goal and several speakers will make presentations.
Anyone can attend the free event. The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 7.
The program will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., followed by a social with appetizers and cash bar. About 650 people are expected to attend.
• Cory Steiner, Northern Cass Public Schools superintendent, who will be share his personal story with mental health.
• Beth Slette, West Fargo Public Schools superintendent, who will be share how her school district has partnered with United Way to open a new preschool in West Fargo.
• Erik Hatch, 2018 Volunteer Campaign Chair from Hatch Realty and Hatch Coaching, will be sharing his story of growing up in this community.
