MOORHEAD — A Fundraiser for a father and son battling life-threatening conditions is taking place Sunday, Sept. 26, at Mainline Bar and Grill in Downer, Minnesota.

The benefit, going from noon to 3 p.m., is a pulled pork lunch with all proceeds going to Brandon Cossette and his six-month-old son, Huxon.

Brandon was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and Huxon was born with a ventricular septum defect, a rare heart condition that required surgery when he was just 4 months old.

"They're both so strong, Brandon and Paige, very strong. It's something I could never handle myself. But they're very strong. They have a very good outlook," said Brandon's aunt Lisa Spriggs, who organized the benefit.

Spriggs says her nephew isn't able to work because he's going through chemotherapy.
