FARGO — North Dakota State University plans to host a return visit by author and filmmaker Kevin Hines at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the Memorial Union Oceti Sakowin Ballroom.

Hines is a suicide attempt survivor who tried to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge in 2000. He now shares his story of hope, healing and recovery with audiences around the world.

In 2013, Hines released his memoir, “Cracked Not Broken, Surviving and Thriving After A Suicide Attempt.” He also produced a documentary titled “Suicide: The Ripple Effect.”

His story was featured in the 2006 film, “The Bridge.”
