Fargo library offers ancestry workshops

FARGO — Those curious about genealogy and ancestry can learn about it at one of the hands-on workshops at Dr. James Carlson branch of the Fargo Public Library later this month.

The workshops will teach attendees how to navigate the free library edition of ancestry.com . The first session is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, and the second will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27. The library is located at 2801 32nd Ave. S., Fargo.

Laptops will be provided for use during the 90-minute sessions; however, participants can bring their own. Space is limited and registration is required. Register online at http://programregistration.library.fargond.gov/ or call the information desk at 701-241-1492 for more information.

The events are free and open to the public. Adults are required to accompany children age 9 and younger.
