GRAND FORKS — It’s been more than a year since Grand Forks County Sheriff Bob Rost stepped down from law enforcement, but recently he’s found himself back in a familiar role.
The county commissioner has been directing traffic every day at the Grand Forks Senior Center, which gives out about 200 meals a day to older adults who need food.
There has been such high demand that cars have been lining up in the street.
The senior center's spokesperson said the former sheriff was the first person they asked for help. Rost is also a senior center board member.
Rost was recognized nationally a few years back for directing traffic at J. Nelson Kelly Elementary School.
