MOORHEAD — Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity is holding its annual Tour de Habitat from Monday, June 21, to Sunday, June 27.
The Tour de Habitat brings teams from businesses, families, friend groups, networking groups and local colleges to help raise money to help build simple, decent and affordable housing in Cass and Clay counties.
Typically, the event has been a stationary bike race, but this year's event will be virtual because of the coronavirus pandemic. Participants are asked to partake from their neighborhoods.
During this year's event, each team/participant is challenged to raise funds for the organization and awareness for the need of safe, affordable, housing in the community. Those participating will have the option to run, walk or bike.
Tour de Habitat is open to everyone who wishes to form a team, or for those who want to donate to its vision of eradicating poverty housing in Cass and Clay counties. The funds from the event will help two single moms build homes, per a press release from Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity.
