New Fundraisers
Arnetta Frueh , Buffalo, underwent her first kidney transplant in May of 2021 when her daughter proved to be the perfect match. Unfortunately, the transplant failed and Arnetta missed several holidays and milestones with her family as she received dialysis up until her second kidney transplant in December of 2022.
Amra Muzafirovic , Fargo, was admitted to the Mayo Clinic hospital in mid-January where she received care until her untimely death Feb 27. Her husband, Enes, took a leave from work to be at her side. He has had to take out loans to pay for her medical bills and funeral expenses.

Baby Kurtz , West Fargo. During their gender reveal ultrasound, Riley and Olivia Kurtz found out that they were having a boy with a congenital heart defect called Double Outlet Right Ventricle. As a result, they have had to make some major life changes allowing Olivia to relocate to Minneapolis where medical providers will perform open-heart surgery on their newborn son.

Jarett Gregerson of Alice, N.D., was injured Feb. 27 while hauling product. He was transferred to the Sanford trauma unit where he has remained unconscious due to severe head trauma, broken ribs and collar bone.

Upcoming Fundraisers

A free-will donation meal, auction and bake sale for Denine Paler will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the West Fargo VFW. Proceeds will help Paler recover from mounting expenses as she fights her second battle with cancer that metastasized to her brain. Paler works for Sanford Health and lives in West Fargo with her husband, Mark.

A fundraiser, silent and live auction for Todd Pretzer will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill. Proceeds will help the Pretzer family as Todd undergoes treatment for stage 2 colorectal cancer, creating financial stress. Todd and his wife, Sheri, live in Horace, N.D., where they enjoy spending time with their children and their families.
