New Fundraisers
Amy Roehrich , Fargo, was diagnosed with high grade cancer in her lower leg in July of 2022. In follow-up, she underwent 25 rounds of radiation, followed by two surgeries and skin grafts. In March, her scans showed a new and deeper tumor and she was referred to Sanford for extensive surgery, radiation and chemotherapy in hopes of saving her leg. Amy and Toby are parents to two boys, Parker and Mason.

Norma Flores, Moorhead, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer after a visit to the walk-in clinic in January for abdominal discomfort. Due to her aggressive treatment, she has not been able to continue her full time employment at Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota. An online fundraiser and upcoming benefit will help Norma recover from lost wages and medical expenses.

A tribute concert to benefit Sarah Hanson, the widow of Christopher Hanson , will be held from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Moorhead Armory. Hanson suffered a stroke Nov. 16th. He was an organ donor who was removed from life support Nov. 20th, giving hope to those who received his organs. Proceeds from a free-will offering and silent auction to be held as guests enjoy six rotating bands will provide help for Sarah, who lost her husband just 80 days after their wedding.

A silent auction, bake sale and free-will offering to benefit Ross Olson of Sabin, Minnesota, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 21, at the El Zagal Shrine in Fargo. Ross suffered multiple seizures while driving. Follow-up tests revealed a grade 4 astrocytoma in his temporal lobe that controls motor function on his left side. Proceeds will help the family with medical expenses and lost wages.
