New fundraisers
A fundraiser has been launched to assist the widow of Christopher Hanson, a 45-year-old military veteran who suffered a stroke Nov. 16th. Hanson was an organ donor who was removed from life support Nov. 20th, giving hope to hose who received his organs. A fundraiser has been established to assist his widow, Sarah, with funeral and health care expenses .

Kenneth Bateman, West Fargo, husband (Tammy), father (Danielle, 16, Emily, 7, and Carter, 5), was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in September. Funds raised will help the family with medical bills, prescriptions, and travel to out-of-area appointments .

Upcoming fundraising events

A benefit for Mitchell Amundson will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the TAX Music Venue, 1710 Center Ave. in Dilworth. Proceeds and online gifts will help Mitchell with expenses related to his medical care and rehabilitation following injuries he suffered from a hunting accident in November .

The North Dakota Academy of Dance will host an auction to benefit Kenneth Bateman in conjunction with 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. student recital performances at North Dakota State University's Festival Music Hall, 1511 12th Ave. N. The auction is live now through 8 p.m. Saturday.
