FARGO — Lend a Hand Up is holding a giving event to help raise money for 14 area families experiencing "significant health challenges."
Starting Monday, Nov. 30, Big Boost Week will increase the value of donations to the organization by 20%, according to a news release from the nonprofit. Donors will be eligible for Big Boost drawings to send extra aid to families in need.
Drawings for two $1,000 boosts will be held daily starting Monday, with a final boost of $5,000 on Friday, Dec. 4.
The winners of the drawings will recommend which family funds should gain big boosts. Up to $15,000 will be designated for eligible families during the week.
Dakota Medical Foundation, Alex Stern Family Foundation and other sponsors are helping make the program a reality.
