Let’s Celebrate! George & Jan McCarthy’s 50th Wedding Anniversary

50 years of hunting and gardening! Please join us in celebrating this joyful occasion! Saturday, April 15th Open House 1-4pm Epworth United Methodist Church 680 8th Ave SW Valley City, ND 58072 Please no gifts, just your company!  George & Jan were married on April 16, 1973. George then joined Jan and daughter, Cami in Argusville, ND where they lived the next 40 years. They added to their family with son Shane (Breanne) McCarthy in 1979 and daughter Jocelyn (Alex) Johnson in 1984. Jan taught for Cass Valley North which eventually became Northern Cass, and retired from teaching in 2004. In 2013, George and Jan moved to Valley City, ND to enjoy time nearer to their siblings.  George retired from Road Equipment in 2015. Since then they haven’t taken their foot off the gas, literally! They enjoy their spring, summer and fall here in North Dakota spending time with their grandkids and hitting up sporting, music and school events. Grandkids Nolan, Tyler (Katie), Caylie, Cooper, Christian and Blake and great-grandkids Brooke, Gage and Ainsley are their joy and keep them busy! In the winter, they hit the gas pedal again to motor south to escape the cold in their community and home in Mercedes, TX. We look forward to you joining us to celebrate these 50 years of love!
