New American Consortium director to give refugee talk Oct. 19

MOORHEAD — The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County is holding a discussion on refugees on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Development Director of the New American Consortium for Wellness and Empowerment Darci Asche will talk about why more than 25 million refugees fled their homes, who they are and how the Fargo-Moorhead community has responded.

The digital presentation of "What is a Refugee?" will be at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom and Facebook Live, with audience questions encouraged. ASL interpretation will be provided.
