FARGO — This year, area law enforcement officers, firefighters and realtors raised nearly $80,000 for the Fargo Salvation Army.
Every year, these groups compete to see who can raise the most money ringing bells during the holiday season for the Salvation Army.
Fargo-Moorhead Area Realtors were the big winners this year, raising $39,450.
Firefighters came in second place with nearly $24,000, and law enforcement raised just over $15,000.
The competitive ringers raised more that $10,000 more this year than last year, and that was with fewer bell ringers.
