WEST FARGO — Churches United opened the doors of the new home of Dorothy Day Food Pantry West on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

The food pantry will primarily focus on perishables but will have other basic necessities.

The location used to be at a nearby church, but was moved to 45 21st Ave. E. — near Shiloh Evangelical Free Church — in order to meet increased demand and have more space.

"We are all about being here for our neighbors, so Churches United is all about being here across that spectrum of care.," said Pastor Sue Koesterman, the CEO of Churches United.
