Dodgeball tournament helps community kids

GRAND FORKS, ND First responders and students are teaming up to help kids in the community.

19 dodgeball teams faced off at Red River High School on Monday night, Dec. 17.

Admission was $2 or the donation of a new set of pajamas.

All the money and pajamas raised from the tournament will go to people in need.

One organizer tells us the need might be even greater than you'd think.

"There's probably close to 200 homeless kids right now in the public schools that people don't think about or are aware of, and so the need is always there right in our schools," said Leigh Olson, Pajama Drive Organizer.
